2. They said that most troops will be out of Iraq by 2011. I think that is completely stupid. They should be coming back now. In 2 years, thousands more will probably die.

3. I think the main responsibilitie of a U.S. first lady is to just do whatever she can to support her husband and make beneficial actions for the communities.

10. if it comes to the point, the U.S. states should have a bailout to make sure that students are able to receive free meals at school. If not, then student won't be able to eat lunch.

1. According to the report: What unexpected incident took place during a press conference with U.S. President George W. Bush and Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki on Sunday? How did Mr. Bush respond to the incident?

During the press conference with U.S. President George W. Bush and Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki an Iraqi journalist threw a shoe at President George W. Bush. Mr.Bush reacted calmly to the incident.

2. According to a recent security agreement between the U.S. and Iraq, what is the timetable for U.S. troop withdrawal from Iraq? In your view, what are the potential pros and cons of this plan for Iraq and the U.S.?

The date for for all U.S. troops to leave Iraq is December 31, 2011.
This plan for the U.S. is progressive, but I think the troops should leave a lot sooner.

3. In your view, what are the responsibilities of a U.S. first lady?

The responsibilites of a U.S. first lady is to take care of the first family, but also take care of the country along with the president. While he tackles the big issues, she takes care of the smaller ones.

4. According to the segment, what are some of the arguments for and against making the U.S. first lady a paid post?

Some people believe that the first lady shouldn't be made a paid post because of the perks she gets as first lady already (big house, first class flights). But many people also believe that she should get some kind of salary because of what she put aside to become 1st lady, and what she does for the country herself.

5. What is your view on this issue? Do you think that U.S. first ladies should get a government salary? State your rationale.

I don't think that the first lady should get a government salary because she wasn't the one elected. Even though she might do work for the counrty herself, she shouldn't do it for some kind of pay.

6. What is the Electoral College? What action is it taking today?

The Electoral College is the group of people who choose the U.S. president. Today they are meeting in their home states to vote for president and vice president.

7. According to the segment: How are winter storms impacting the northeastern U.S.? How has President Bush responded to the situation? In your opinion, how might these winter storms impact local economies?

Severe ice storms are occuring in the northeastern U.S., causing residents to be without power. President Bush has authorized federal aid by declaring a state of emergency in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Since the winter storms have knocked out power, local economies will not be able to thrive.

8. Who is Rod Blagojevich? Why is he currently at the center of controversy? What action are some Illinois lawmakers taking to try to remove Blagojevich from office? Do you think that Blagojevich should step down? Why or why not?

Rod Blagojevich is the govenor of Illinois. He was arrested this week on federal corruption charges relating in part to the selection of President-elect Barack Obama's successor as a U.S. senator. Some Illinois lawmakers are trying to impeach him by increasing calls for his resignation. I think he should step down because what he did was wrong and he should get penalized as any other person would.

9. According to the report: From where does the money for the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs come? How is the current economic crisis impacting these programs?

The money for the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs comes from the government. Because of the economic crisis, more students are signing up for free and reduced lunch, and the govenrment might run out of money.

10. In your opinion, what, if anything, should U.S. states do to make sure that students are able to receive free meals at school? Can you think of ways that your state might generate additional funds for school meals, if needed?

I think that U.S. states should make lunch more affordable for a child in school.

1. During a press conference with U.S. President George W. Bush and Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al Maliki on Sunday, some guy threw a shoe at him, haha. He laughed about it and didn't make a big deal out of it.

2. According to a recent security agreement between the U.S. and Iraq, the timetable for U.S. troop withdrawal from Iraq is in 2011.
In my view, the potential pros of this plan for Iraq and the U.S. are that most of the troops will be out earlier than expected. The cons are that not all of the troops will get out in 2011.

3. In my view, the responsibilities of a U.S. first lady are to do nothing. They weren't they ones elected to be president and they have people to take care of all the other things, so they need to just sit back and watch their husbands run the world.

4. According to the segment, some of the arguments for and against making the U.S. first lady a paid post are that she wasn't elected to be the first lady, she just got lucky that her husband won.

8. Rod Blagojevich is the governor of Illinois.

2. According to a recent security agreement between the U.S. and Iraq, what is the timetable for U.S. troop withdrawal from Iraq? In your view, what are the potential pros and cons of this plan for Iraq and the U.S.?
They get out in 2001, but even though it soon at the same time its seems far away, which wouldn't it made more sence if they took them out like the upcoming year?

Yes, I think they should. Yes, their job may not be as hectic as her husbands or as mind-boggling, but none the less things such as being careful to present themselves correctly at all times is hard. And no they shouldn't get paid for that all the time because that is how they should be with or without being married to the president but they have responsibility and a lot of it to.

Votes to determine our president and vice. They're meeting to cast ballots.

4. Some people think that the first lady shoulnt be paid because, she already gets to travel for free, and gets her clothes for free also. 3. In my view, the responsibilities of a U.S. first lady are to do nothing. They weren't they ones elected to be president and they have people to take care of all the other things, so they need to just sit back and watch their husbands run the world.

President Bush responded to the situation by calling a state emergency.
In my opinion, these winter storms impact local economies because it's just going to cost more money for everyone to put back the city into one piece.

8. Rod Blagojevich is the governor of Illinois.
He is currently at the center of controversy because he tried to sell his inaguration tickets.
Illinois lawmakers are trying to remove Blagojevich from office by impeaching him.

The current economic crisis impact these programs because they ran out of money before the school year ended.

1. During a press conference with U.S. President George W. Bush and Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al Maliki on Sunday, some guy threw a shoe at him, haha. He laughed about it and didn't make a big deal out of it.

4. They argued on the first lady's salary. They say that that shouldn't get paid because they get "paid" in a sense by getting all the expensive benetfits of a first lady like living in the white house and flying on a private plane.

5. I don't think first ladies should get paid because they weren't the ones who were elected, their husbands were. what they choose to do as a first lady is their decision whether its good or bad.

6. the Electoral College is when electors get to vote for president and vice president. They get to vote today, December 15th.

7. winter storms are impacting the northeastern U.S. by knocking out power for hundreds of thousands of people. President Bush has responded by declaring a State of Emergency for parts of the north east.

8. Rod Blagojevich is the governor of illinoise. he currently at the center of controversy because a lot of people are trying to impeach him. I think he should stepdown because he broke the law.

9. the money for the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs comes from the school district. the current economic crisis impacting these programs because people who can't afford lunch get it free. but more and more people arent able to afford it, causing the school to pay for more kids.
