I think the owner should have just let the lady say Merry Christmas, rather than causing this whole drama.
I would have just not said anything to the boss and said Merry Christmas to all the customers anyways.
I think this is an unfair situation because the owner is going against the woman's religion and he shouldn't do that.

I think that she should not of been fired, I would say Merry Christmas, if someone was offended by me saying that it wouldn't bother me.
This situation is very unfair because the bill fo rights grants freedom of speech and freedom of religion. The owner of the compnay violated her rights by making her say Happy Holidays.

-I think that the woman could have said Happy Holidays its still saying have a happy whatever you celebrate. Because what if she said it to someone who celebrated Hannukah or Kwanza that would be rude or offensive to them.
-I would have just said Happy Holidays.

I think that Tonia should have just said Happy Holidays if she wanted to keep her job, because it isn't that huge of a deal. I would have just said Happy Holidays. I think that she shouldve just warned her and not fired her. People should say happy holidays instead of merry christmas cause not everyone celebrates that but its not something to get fired over.

why: she felt it was against her religious beliefs to say "hapy holidays". she wanted to say "merry christmas" instead.
i dont think it was neccesarry for tonia to be fired even though she failed to do what she was asked. thats going to far. but shes also dumb because theres many people who dont celebrate christmas so she has to be considerate to them too and let them enjoy their holiday. theres nothing hard about saying happy holidays. i guess she didnt think of it that way because shes without a job as we speak. im sure she feels pretty stupid.
