6.5% Its the highest it has ever been in the past 14 years. I think it will keep rising because the economy is so bad

4. For how long has Alan Cannefax been unemployed? How is his unemployment affecting him? What measures have Cannefax and the other job seekers featured in the report taken to find work? What obstacles have they encountered during their job hunt?

He hasnt worked for 6 months and cant support his family, there just arent enough jobs in the country

5. To what extent, if any, are you concerned about the economy and the current unemployment rate?

I am worried about it because i know theres familys who are kicked out on the streets everyday and i def dont want mine to be next, however nations fall in a recession all the time in history, its a cycle that will hopefully be over soon.

6. What is Haruka Nishimatsu's position at Japan Airlines? According to the report: What personal sacrifices has Nishimatsu made for the good of his company and his employees? How does Nishimatsu's salary compare to that of a top paid American CEO?

He is an underpaid CEO that gave up his salery to keep some employees.

7. Based on the information in the report, what ethical principles do you think that Nishimatsu promotes at Japan Airlines? In your opinion, what lessons, if any, might other CEOs learn from Nishimatsu?

People come before money

8. Why do you think that tickets to President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration are in high demand? According to the report, how much are some VIP tickets going for?

the tickets were at high demand, because the majority of people were supporting him and because this is historial they wanted to witness it thmself. Some VIP tickets were going as high as $1315-$2000

9. According to the report, what risks are associated with buying inauguration tickets online? How much would you be willing to pay for a ticket to the inauguration?

They could be fake and you just got scammed, or theres not enough room for you the day of the inaguration. I dont need a ticket, save the tickets for the EXTREME obama lovers, im fine with watching it on tv

10. Do you think that U.S. congressional staffers should be fired if they are caught selling their inauguration tickets? State your rationale. If you were given free tickets to the inauguration, would you sell them? Why or why not?

No because if they dont want the tickets, why not sell it to others that really DO want them, and i know i would sell them too.

1. Presiden Bush and Barack Obama stated that we should honor all of those who served our country and all of those who are serving our country.

2.
AIG is recieving heat about the conference because they filed for federal bailout but they have the money to pay for a conference that costs more than $340,000. AIG responded by saying that the event was based at boosting income and sponsers covered most of the bill. the U.S. government planning to adjust morgage payments on loans owned by Fannie May & Freddie Mac.

3. The U.S. unemployment rate is 6.5 %. Thus leaving people searching for jobs that just aren't there. This is a significant number because this is the highest that it has been in 14 years.

4. Alan Cannefax has been unemployed for nearly 6 months. Unemployment is effecting him because now his family is having to cut down on some of their everyday things. Because many jobs are laying people off, not hiring, Cannefax and many others have not had any great luck finding a job.

5. Right now, the economy may be at a low point, but I feel as though this may have of happened before and look at where we are today. The way that people make the world out to be isn't near as bad as it realllyyy is. The economy is at a low but we just have to be careful, and watch our actions so that our economy and stock market, etc. can gain its power and go back to a steady rate.

6.Haruka Nishimatsu's position at Japan Airlines is CEO. He had cut all of is perks so that he could help everyone keep their jobs. He thought that he should feel the same pain as them, therefore he cut his pay also.

7. I think that he promotes the fact that everyone is equal. Even though many dont have the same pay from the begining now that the economy isn't great, he takes a cut from everyone's pay so that everyone will suffer the same ammount.

8. I think that tickets to Obama's inauguration are so expensive because he is the first president in the history of the United States that isn't completely white. Therefore, the sellers know that because this is such a big change that many will buy the tickets just to go and see this speech and day that will go down in history.

9. Buying tickets online might be buying a fake ticket, and many brokers might not be able to possess all of the tickets that they sell.

10. Yes, i do believe that they should be fired because first of all they would be breaking the law after they were told not to sell the tickets in the first place. And also they need those tickets so that they can be apart of this inauguration like they are supposed to be.

4 Alan Cannefax has been um emlpyed for 6 months. how nothaveing a job is that his family has to cut down on things that want rather than need. some job seeker have gone to job convection and some obsticels that they have faced were that l;ots of poeple have been lookin jobs and theres not that meany jobs out there.
5.yes and no beacuse i have a job but one day i might get fired beacuse they cant affored to pay me.
6. Haruka Nishimatsu's position at Japan Airlines is the CEO. According to the report Nishimatsu slashed his own pay, so he can keep as many employees he can afford and asked the older people to retire early. Nishimatsu's salary makes only 90,000 US dollars.

7. Nishimatsu promotes at Japan Airlines that you need to put your business before all the money. Other CEO's might learn from Nishimatsu that you need to stop being so greedy & think of everyone else being effected.

8. I think that tickets to President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration are in high demand because its a major historical event that everyone wants to see. Some VIP tickets going for 13,000-20,000.

9. Buying inauguration tickets online may lead to fraud tickets. I would be willing to pay maybe $100 at the most for a ticket.

10. Yes, I think U.S. congressional staffers should be fired if they are caught selling their inauguration tickets because this has been free every other time, but people are so greedy and are trying to make unnescessary money off of it. AIG responded to this controversy by saying sponsers paid most of the bill.
The action that the U.S. government is planning to take to help the country's real estate market is that planning to adjust mortage payments on loans owned by fanny may and freddy mac. They took over both companies in the beginning of this year.
3.
The U.S. unemployment rate in October 2008 was at 6.5%. This number historically significant because thats the highest its been in 14 years. I think that the unemployment rate in the U.S. is increasing because the stock market just keeps falling and companies cant afford to hold so many employees
