* We have started using coupons to cut back on spending. We watch what we buy and use a budget.

* I am not planning to buy a car. I have one but it is used . But the advice seems liable to help me if I was to get another car.

* He gives the instructions and safty procedures by rapping.It helps people actually listen to the instructions.

It might help kids focus on safty instructions in school instead of doing it one after the other in a boring way.

* A Taliban commander has threatened to execute all spies or hold them in exchange for the release of Taliban fighters. He also promised to keep girls out of public schools. The international community need to continue their fight against the Taliban and not give in to their foolish blackmail ticks (holding hostages).

* The government gave AIG $170 billion to keep it afloat and some officials are upset that they intend to give out $165 million in bonuses! Some AIG’ officials state that they are legally required to make some of those payments.

* Americans are spending a lot less because they loss much during this recession. They have turned to bartering as their way of making it through. They also only buy necessities versus wants.

* During the recession, restaurants are struggling Libraries and NetFlix businesses are booming. This is because the library includes free internet access and Netflix movies allows one to enjoy a movie in the comfort of their on house.

* My family and I only buy necessities such as food. We buy groceries versus going out because it is cheaper to do so.

* Get a test drive, check to see if certain things work (windows, radio) and check the tires.

* I’m not planning on buying a car anytime soon, I already have one.

* David Holmes is a flight attendant who incorporates rap into his job by rapping about the safety that passengers should use. Holmes rapping enticed the passenger and so they actual listened to the message he was sending about their safety.

* Rapping could be useful when trying to educate the youth on the recession and how to live about in a healthier way so that they won’t be stuck in the next recession.

* There are new faces at this Shopper's Food Warehouse in Virginia, and the regulars buy differently. People are buying a lot more chicken, flocking to store brand merchandise and picking up loads of frozen dinners.

* Borders Books, garage sale ads, barter offers and musicians. auto mechanics have been recieving more bussiness.

* They have not been going out or eatin out anywhere. Trying to save gas and keep working, since they're accountants. they do bussiness at home.

* That if you are wondering why a car that might be three or four years old is going to have four brand new tires on it, because that might hide an alignment problem.

* Flight rapping attendance, He performs for the audience during pre-flight instructions. He was discovered by a passenger who recorded his rap on her cell phone and said she was going to put it on YouTube. Now that's his job.

* The Taliban have made statements concerning foreign aid workers by gathering info on these workers and executing them as spies or holding them in exchange for the release of Taliban fighters. The Afghan girls are being kept out of public schools to protect them from being violated. Personally, I think they need to have better security because no one deserves to be kept out of school. Everyone has the right to an education.

3. Why has some U.S. government officials recently criticized AIG about bonus payments made by the company? What has been AIG's response to this controversy?
* They are criticizing them because the government has given AIG about 170 billion dollars to keep them afloat. Instead of using the money for other things, they are using it to pay out 165 million dollars in bonuses. AIG is legally required to make some of those payments, but they are planning to lower 2009 bonuses by 30%. Those high paied employees are going to suffer big cuts in their salaries.

*Americans have changed their spending habits by buying less of the things that they don’t need. Some are making lists to only buy what’s on the list and giving themselves budgets when they go to the store. Penny saved, penny earned.

* Some businesses that are struggling are Dominoes, Borders and 5 Star Restaurants’. Unlike Netflix, they are prospering. They’ve had about 10 million new subscribers during the recession. Also, public libraries are booming as well. People are struggling with their finances and are looking for all possible ways to make their lives a whole lot easier.

6. How have your family's spending habits changed due to the current economy, if at all? Explain.
* My family has stopped spending money on unnecessary things. We don’t go on shopping sprees anymore or out for dinner. Instead, we eat at home and spend money only on major necessities.

7. What are some car-buying tips that are mentioned in the program?
*Making sure you have all the history on the car. You can take the service number to the dealer to get the information. People make mistakes by going out on test drives and just believing what the sales person has to say. When you test drive the car, drive it on roads that you are used too. Just to see how well the car handles. Also, bring your own IPOD or MP3 to test out the audio of the car. You don’t want to arrive home and find that the jack is not working. Another thing you can do is pay attention to when the dealer says the car has four brand new tires. He could just be hiding that the car has some alignment problems.

* Yes, I am planning on buying a car soon and I am considering purchasing a used car. When shopping for a car, mileage, year of the car, safety and car history are all important factors to me. The car also has to have a working audio deck!

*David Holmes is a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines. When giving out the pre-flight instructions, he raps it and asks for audience participation (clapping and stomping). The benefits of his rapping is that people will actually listen to the emergency instructions.

*Rapping can be beneficial in classrooms when giving out instructions.

Reasons that there doing well because Americans cocoon against a harsh economy, Netflix, delivering DVDs to your door, TV set or computer, is blowing off the roof. Ten million subscribers, including a net pickup of 600,000 since January.

* My family's spending habits have changed during the current economy because we don't buy expensive things unless we really need it

We are not going out to eat as much and we are cutting back on entertainment like going to the movies and taking family vacations.

* Afghan girls have been taken out of school to protect them from being violated. The Taliban have executed the foreign aid workers for being spies or holding them in exchange for the release of Taliban fighters. I think the international community should help put a stop to this. Girls are being deprived of an education and that is not fair.

* Some U.S. government officials are criticizing AIG about the bonuses they are giving out because they do not believe that's what the money should be used for. * Due to the current recession, Americans have changed their spending habits. They are only buying the necessities. No one can afford to waste money on things they do not really need.

* Dominos, 5 star resturaunts and Borders are a just some of the businesses that are struggling due to the econonic crisis in the U.S. Nextflix is doing quite well, despite being in a recession. About 10 million new subscribers have come to Netflix. Libraries are also doin well. People want to make their lives easier. Thestress may be getting to them so they lookfor ways to calm down and have a chill day.

* My family's spending habits have changed dramatically. My brother and I try to ask for things we absolutely need like school supplies and clothes instead of games and other things we can get later. Because the prices on goods such as gas and food has gone up, my family is trying not to do things we can put off until later and buy the necessities.

* Learning the history of a car you want to buy is a good tip. You can find out what problems the car has and what it has been through, like accidents. All you have to do is take the service number to the dealer to get the information you need. Also, inspect the car thoroughly. Do not always believe what the salesperson says.

* I am not planning on buying a car soon. I bought my car last year and it is used. In this economy, I cannot afford a new car. When I got my car, I checked the history. I found out that it has not been in any accidents, all parts are still working and it is in good condition.
